20+ Drivers who had bad days in their electric vehicles: "Charger stuck in my Cybertruck and it won't drive"

Electric vehicles can be a tough sell. A lot of folks don't want to adapt to this newer tech, and they wonder what'll happen if they can't find a charging station. The good news is that hybrid cars work wonderfully: when they run out of electricity, they can start to use gasoline. Plus, charging stations are plentiful these days. But there's one type of EV that has a pretty bad reputation… the Cybertruck. 

These trucks look like dumpsters on wheels, or like a poorly-rendered video game. I walk by the same one in my neighborhood every single day. It's been parked outside a mechanic shop for 2 years straight. It has never moved, presumably because it's broken and missing some crucial part. It collects dust, dirt, and grime, and people doodle in the dust of it. I feel for the owner… they just wanted to look cool and drive their fancy-schmancy vehicle, and now 2 years have gone by without them ever being able to take it for a spin. 

That dude isn't alone. There are plenty of other folks who liked the futuristic look of the Cybertruck and bought into it, only to discover how fickle these things are. They don't like water. They're put together badly, so there are big gaps in the side panels. If it breaks down, it's so over.     This person got 2 flat tires, even with all-weather tires equipped

    Off-roading fail Well... I thought I'd do some offloading up a mountain with stock all weather tires. Big mistake. I had a spare tire but I got 2 flats 1/2 up a mountain. Other than feeling a little dumb for even trying it, learned a lot. This is your PSA to get aftermarket tires. Special shout out to tesla roadside... drove 3 hours to get me.

    They had somewhere to be, and the truck simply would not cooperate! This guy literally couldn't operate the vehicle without taking apart the door compartment… and that left permanent damage to the vehicle. It makes going to the gas station seem like a walk in the park!

    A lot of car owners like to take their cars for a wash once a month or even every week. So if you own one of these bad boys, forget that idea!

    100-mile grace period is crazy work

    Cybertruck Owners Only Hyun Kim 4d ② Picked up my CT AWD on 6/21/2025. Two days later as I was getting my kid out the back seat I noticed interior door trim damaged. I looked it up and someone said it's because they ship the wheel cover or something like that in the back seat during transport. I already put in for a service request before I hit the 100 mile grace period, I was just curious if anyone else experienced something similar.

    The frunk (front trunk) has caused this driver so much trouble they had to get their vehicle towed

    Cybertruck Owners Only Adventures Into History June 9 at 9:16 AM Cyber-screwed today. If you saw my previous post you know, if not, the frunk latch broke in such a way it wouldn't open and release the frunk but it also wouldn't close the frunk down all the way either. Therefore the truck thinks the frunk is open and limits the speed to 15mph. No matter how many times I tried the frunk would neither fully release nor close. Just stuck open about a 1/2 inch. Putting power to the latch directly did
